Earlier this week, Stephen attended a 100 Friends of Whitby (formerly 100 Men of Whitby) meeting. We meet for one hour every three months to raise money for local charities and not-for-profits. At the meeting, each attendee brings a $100 donation. We jointly select a local charity or not-for-profit organization and donate the total accumulated funds from that night to the chosen community organization. There are no committees, no bank accounts, and no fees. 100% of the funds raised that evening are donated.

We collected $3500 for Sunrise Development Support Services in Whitby.

Sunrise Development Support Services' mission is to provide innovative programs for members diagnosed with developmental disabilities that are positive and inclusive through recreational, social, and learning experiences. The goal is to foster friendships, promote independence, acceptance, and inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities in Durham Region.
